▲China Association of Automobile Manufacturers（CAAM）released the survey on the performance of automobile and motorcycle industry in October 2017. Output and sales of automobile in October increased compared with the same period of last year. Output and sales of automobile in October reached 2,604,000 units and 2,704,000 units respectively, increasing by 0.7% and 2% compared with last year. Output and sales of automobile from January to October reached 22,957,000 units and 22,927,000 units, increasing by 4.3% and 4.1% compared with last year.

▲According to the General Administration of Customs of China, NR and SR (including latex) imports for October 2017 reached 533,000 tons. NR and SR (including latex) imports from January to October 2017 reached 5,645,000 tons, increasing by 24.9% compared with 4,518,000 tons of last year. Import value increased by 71.5% compared with last year. Up to the end-October, rubber inventory in Qingdao Free Trade Port Zone is 199,000 tons, including 11,640 tons of NR, and 78,600 tons of compound rubber.  

▲National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has released the survey on the performance of chemical industry for last three quarters. The value added for chemical industry of last three quarters  increased by 3.8% compared with last year, but growth rate decreased by 4.8% compared with last year. Of the major products manufactured, SR output reached 4,320,000 tons, increasing by 2.3%; synthetic fibre reached 35,190,000 tons, increasing by 5.8%; and rubber tires reached 724,730,000 units, increasing by 5.8%.

▲According to Qingdao Customs data, in the first eight months of this year, a total of 160,000,000 units of rubber tires were exported via Shandong port, increasing by 3.9%; worth 37,720,000,000 RMB, increasing by 14.8%; the average export price is 241.9 RMB per unit, increasing by 10.5%. Tires export reached 20,650,000 units in August, decreasing by 1.4% compared with last year; worth 5,150,000,000 RMB, increasing by 10.2%.

▲In the first half of 2017, the total output of Chinese rubber additives was 602,000 tons. The output of accelerators was about 208,000 tons, decreasing by 3.2% compared with last year; anti-aging agents was about 197,000 tons, decreasing by 4.4% compared with last year. Sales of rubber additives in the first half of the year reached 9,890,000,000 RMB, decreasing by 1.4% compared with last year. Export volume of rubber addictives was 193,000 tons, increasing by 7.2% compared with last year. Due to the unprecedented increasing environmental pressure, production and sales of rubber additives in the first half of the year suffered negative growth.

▲According to the General Administration of Customs of China, NR imports for September 2017 reached 230,000 tons, increasing by 20.9% compared with last year; imports value increased by 61.2%. From January to September, NR imports reached 2,020,000 tons, increased by 19.9% compared with last year, and imports value increased by 82.6%. SR imports for August 2018 reached 430,000 tons, increasing by 43.5% compared with last year, and imports value increased by 61.2%. From January to August, SR imports reached 3,090,000 tons, increased by 29.6% compared with last year, and imports value increased by 72.1%.
